Gainesville Green

Fresh Hop IPA

Recently, some fresh picked, skunky, funky smelling green hops showed up at the brewery. It was harvest time. Each year, right around the time that the weather starts to cool, fresh sticky hops are picked directly off of the vine and sent to us overnight so we can use them in a “Fresh Hop” or “Harvest” ale. This is done quickly so we can use these little green guys before they lose a single bit of their intensely dank aromas and flavors. Our Fresh Hop IPA, Gainesville Green, is an aggressive use of a mini mountain of fresh Cascade, Amarillo and Simcoe hops, brewed for the hop head who just has to sample the best of the yearly harvest.
